May

It already feels like we're well into summer (even though Mary Grace is STILL in school!) Before all my summer posts start, here are all the May pictures that haven't made it into a post yet!

Mary Grace brought the most hilarious FICTIONAL story home from school- "The Big Mystery of the New Nabers (Neighbors)."
Oh my goodness, the story made me laugh so much. It was all about a family that had a house for sale next door to them and they would spy on all of the people looking at the house. The family went to all kinds of extremes to sabotage the house showings so that their old neighbors would move back into the house. I REALLY hope her teacher knows that it was based VERY lightly on the truth...even though Mary Grace didn't even bother to change the names of her "fictional" characters. Ha!
Dinner at Chick fil A
Love these sweet friends!
Griffin and Miller
I tell him all the time that he's going to turn into a PBJ and this is the face I get...
Our favorite next door neighbors (yes, the same ones featured in MG's story) found a bird's nest while doing some yard work. Wanting to protect the nest from the rain we put up Miller's umbrella. The mama bird LOVED it- and the umbrella stayed up over 2 weeks, until the baby birds left the nest.

Miller's last baseball game of the season.
He sure did love every second of it. Pitcher was his favorite position and he got to play it almost every game. He really wants to play next season (in the fall), but he also wants to play soccer. I'm sure he'll be debating all summer!
Mary Grace loves helping out in the kitchen! Her motto: presentation is everything.
After Miller's last baseball game one of his coaches hosted a backyard bbq/party.
He also got his very first trophy!
Coach Scott, Miller and Coach Curtis
I love sitting in our library and watching a playground full of kids!
Miller and Brody
Miller's class made these awesome shirts for their end of school picnic (which ended up getting rained out.) He was SO proud of this work of art.
Erica and I were standing in her driveway talking one night and suddenly we noticed the kids all lined up. After watching for a minute we realized they had made a tunnel with their legs for a rolly-polly to crawl through. It was hilarious watching them cheer it on!
Miller, Brody and Lila
I love that Miller is out of school. Our mornings have slowed down drastically and we get lots of cuddle time!
2 desks, 2 comfy chairs...and this girl does her homework laying on the floor.
A few weeks ago we went to get ice cream and someone was giving away kittens. Of course, Mary Grace was in heaven. She knew we couldn't get one, but she still fell in love with this one that she named Socks.
