Florida

We spent last week in Florida!
Of course I had to take the kids back to our all time favorite place- "Pancake Park."
It's harder to tell than I thought it would be, but here is Mary Grace on the exact same slide.
They were so excited by the whole concept of this place!
I let each of them choose 1 toping. Miller picked bananas and Mary Grace picked chocolate chips. On the first round they were each in charge of topping the pancakes.
Round 2, I let them pour. Miller's might have gotten a little out of control.

Here is another side by side comparison in the same location. The picture on the left was from one of Mary Grace's first visits.
This was not a bad way to spend a few days!

The kids were such troopers on this vacation. We ate at super odd times and stayed SO active! After a long day at SeaWorld we ended up having a picnic back in the hotel room at like 9PM.
Not surprising, based on the lack of sleep and "normal" eating...Miller woke up on Thursday feeling crummy. Thankfully we didn't have too much planned and we were able to spend some much needed time snuggling in bed and watching cartoons.
Our last morning in Lake Mary before heading to the beach.
Stocking up on candy for the drive.

On Saturday morning after a few minutes on the beach and an amazing lunch on the pier, we headed to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
We got to meet Winter, the dolphin from Dolphin Tales movie. This moment was definitely the highlight of the trip for both kids. (more details to come on Mom With A Map)
After the aquarium we headed to Ocala to have dinner with our good friends Scott, Rachel and Trey. Miller and Trey had a blast together!

After we left Scott and Rachel we continued toward home. We were trying to figure out the best place to stop for the night, and I got a crazy idea to watch the sunrise. In hindsight, it was a horrible idea. But we got up, and we did it. (We also got bitten by about 10 thousand bugs. It was so miserable and nasty and you wouldn't believe the tears just to get the kids out of the car long enough to take this picture!)
Last stop of the trip- lunch in Columbia, SC and then we were officially home!
