To say that this winter has been horrible would be an understatement.
We are within 10 inches of the most snow ever during a Chicago winter. We had the most days in a row with temperatures below 0, EVER. For the last 4 months our temperatures have been, not just cold, but 20+ degrees below average.
It's been a pretty tough winter for everyone, but for this to be our first winter here...well, summer better be AMAZING! And spring needs to come NOW!
I have washed Mary Grace's snow pants 4 times this month- each time thinking that she wouldn't need to wear them again.
It's kind of crazy how quickly the temperature becomes relative. 35 and sunny feels like a total heat wave!
We even took a long family walk through downtown Naperville in spring clothes when the temperature hit 40!
The grass was just starting to show,
and then it snowed again.
This last snow had to be the prettiest all winter!
Last snow picture of the season (hopefully)
We can handle playing in the snow in small doses, but I think the overall feeling from my two groundhogs is that they will wait for spring to really come out and play!
For now, we'll watch a few more movies, cuddle on the couch and PRAY for warmer temperatures!
