Spring Break
Atlanta, GA
April 6th - 10th, 2015
As mentioned, Brent was asked to participate in a conference in Atlanta. It just happened to fall the same week as the kids' spring break so we took advantage of the trip and tagged along.
Girls Night
Erin, Sarah, Caroline, Mary, and Laura
Laura has a great playground near her house. The kids enjoyed playing for a few minutes before Girls Night!
First trip to The Varsity
Oh how we've missed our hotel days!
(not me!!! But in all honesty, the kids really do miss it! They are very "at home" with hotel life.)
Breakfast at Waffle House in our PJ's
So while we were in Atlanta one of Miller's ear tubes finally fell out (left one.) Ironically, it was just a few days shy of two years to the day from when it was placed. They typically fall out in 6 months to a year after surgery (as the ear grows.) The fact that it took Miller's 2 years is a great confirmation that tubes were the right decision at the time. As far as we know, the right tube is still in place.
Anyone who knows me well knows that I'm not overly sentimental about saving things. But for some reason, it felt SO weird just throwing this microscopic tube out.
So I took a picture...
Play date with my friend, Julie, and her adorable girls!
Molly,Miller, Ellie and Mary Grace
One night after dinner the kids and I drove through Chick Fil A to get some chocolate chip cookies. Mary Grace suggested we get one for Brent, and said we should write him a note. I handed her a piece of paper and a pen and this is what she wrote ALL on her own!
(for the record, we have NO idea why she thought he'd had a "rough day")
After I put Miller to bed he rearranged his bed.
He is sleeping on top of 2 regular pillows and a couch cushion. It's hard to tell from the picture, but he was actually pretty high up!
Lunch with the girls
Laura, Courtney, Sarah, Mary Grace, Miller and Erin
(and Baby Luke was asleep in the corner)
Mary Grace, Miller, and cutie pie Luke
After lunch Erin and I took the kids to a park.
Mary Grace really enjoyed strolling Luke
Miller and Luke
Thanks for a fun play date "Aunt" Erin! Mary Grace and Miller can't wait until Luke can run around with them!
Another wonderful trip to Atlanta! It was great to see a lot of friends.
