The Great American Solar Eclipse
August 21, 2017
After MUCH debate, we opted to stay home for the eclipse. Our area was at 98.6% totality and for a variety of reasons- Brent felt unsafe with us being on the road (he had to work.) Hindsight is always 20/20 and since there were no major issues- I sort of wish we'd driven about an hour south to the line of totality.
However, we ended up having a blast with our neighbors and doing some extra eclipse related activities. And...we're already planning for 2024!
Making homemade Moonpies!
Messy, but SO fun!
We also made a sunburst fruit tray to balance out the healthy-ness!

Thankful to have made so many precious memories that day! The kids really loved the science-y spin on the day and I feel like they learned a lot!
