Spring Break, Part 3: The Beach
Hilton Head Island, South Carolina: March 27th
Amelia Island, Florida: March 27th - March 30th
As we were driving from Salisbury, NC to Amelia Island, FL on Tuesday morning we kept seeing the signs for Hilton Head. We love HHI and it is a beach we both grew up going to. This was the first beach Mary Grace went to - at 2 weeks old! So we decided it would be a special place for Miller to dip his toes in the ocean water for the first time. (And honestly, we were totally craving some NY Pizza!)

After a walk on the beach and a fabulous lunch, we continued on our way to our planned destination of Amelia Island, FL.
Our first night on the Island we ate dinner at a wonderful place right on the water.
Mary Grace enjoyed applying her own sunscreen-
Amelia Island has TONS of shells! Mary Grace gathered buckets full.
Miller had a GREAT time! Unfortunately for me, he liked it so much that he spent most of the time awake (I was counting on him sleeping in his tent a lot). He constantly wanted to be sitting up and looking around.
Plan B- Brent went to the store and bought a nice beach umbrella so I could hold him in the shade.
Mary Grace also had a blast at the pool. I was so proud of her. She immediately jumped in and picked up right where she left off last summer. She can swim the whole pool (deep end too) very confidently!
