Visiting NC

After the weekend in Knoxville I decided to take the kids to North Carolina to visit Uncle Robby and Aunt Anna. They just bought a new house and announced they are having a BABY!

Robby and Anna live about an hour away from Great Grandma and Great Uncle Doug. We were able to drive up and spend an afternoon with them.

The next day we got to go to Anna's doctor's appointment and hear the baby's heartbeat. It was SO special to be there! Mary Grace thinks it sounds like a boy cousin's heartbeat because 'it was loud and boys are loud!'
After the appointment Anna took the rest of the day off and took us to Dan Nicholas Park. We visited the park back in March and it is pretty incredible.
As soon as we got to the park, Mary Grace recognized it and immediately started begging to ride on the animal boats. Aunt Anna volunteered to paddle Mary Grace around the lake.

After the boat ride, Nana took Mary Grace on the train ride.
And then we all rode on the carousel before heading home for lunch and rest time.

Our trip to North Carolina was short, but so much fun!
Thanks, again, for hosting us Robby and Anna- and especially for letting us come listen to the heartbeat! We are counting down the days until January.
