Mega-Vacation Stop #3
Family Weekend
Atlanta, GA
June 7th - 9th, 2014
This was our second annual family trip to Atlanta (and actually, our trips weren't consecutive years because last year our trip was planned for the same weekend that we ended up moving to Chicago so we had to cancel) It was SO great being back in Atlanta, seeing all of our family friends and introducing the kids to the fun things Atlanta has to offer!
We always stay with our family friends, The Sutterfields, in our old neighborhood.
We were able to see a ton of our family friends, but I was so busy chasing the kids and visiting that I really didn't take many pictures. This is Patti- who was mine and Robby's nanny when we were little- with Robert.
Daniel (His dad, Charlie, grew up across the street from us and was like an older brother) and Mary Grace
Nathan (also Charlie's son) and Robert
Miller and Daniel
Sweet Cousins- Miller, Mary Grace and Robert
The kids with James (son of Lauren, who was one of my best friends and neighbor growing up)
Ready to head to the Zoo (separate post)
After the zoo we went downtown and rode on the new ferris wheel (The Sky View)
After the Sky View we went to a late lunch at The Sun Dial
Our AMAZING lunch view!
The kids loved how the restaurant rotates as you eat. It kept them thoroughly entertained for the entire meal.
The little blue dome that you see in these pictures is another restaurant in downtown Atlanta. When my mom moved to Atlanta this was the tallest building downtown. CRAZY!
Late in the day we took Brent to the airport and on our way out of town (driving) the kids and I met up with Megan for a quick Hovan.
Miller and Mary Grace LOVE their "Aunt" Megan so much!
(the same can not be said for Hovans)
Such a fun trip!
