D4- Aloha!

Day 4: Wednesday, May 16th

We made it to Hawaii!
Both kids definitely earned their wings on this trip!
We were absolutely dreading the flight from LA to Maui, but it was so easy. Miller took 2 long naps (once in my arms and once in Brent's) and then our flight attendant kidnapped him and took him up to first class for about an hour. Apparently, Smokey Robinson asked to hold him and entertained him for quite a while! (You know I'm dying that I don't have a picture of that...but I didn't feel right asking since he'd already been so nice to hold Miller for us.) Mary Grace took a decent nap on accident, and then watched 2 movies on the iPad.
When we arrived in Maui we found out that our car seats didn't make the connection in LA. This was honestly the only problem we had on the entire trip (well, that, and I got pooped on while we were landing back in Lexington!)
Fortunately, Liberty had a nice bus to shuttle us to the resort and we didn't need car seats.

Mary Grace adjusted quickly to being spoiled by Liberty at the Ritz! It took her all of about 5 seconds to request a non-alcoholic version of the adult welcome drink AND specify that it needed a purple flower!
Liberty had a huge table of hats for us choose while we at our lunch.
Mary Grace really liked Brent's!
 Miller fit right in too!
Wednesday afternoon we explored the resort, unpacked and went swimming.
Each night during the Liberty portion of the trip we had a nanny come stay with Mary Grace and Miller. It worked out perfectly and we were super happy with Miss Vicki!
Wednesday Night's dinner was in this huge indoor/outdoor room
Brent, Leon and Byron
Every night there was a photographer taking 'prom pictures' of each couple!

Lindsay and Sarah
(as I'm sure you can read on our massive name tags!)
 Area 2004
At some point during the dinner Brent and I realized we'd been up for about 25 hours straight!
Mary Grace and Miller made it about 22 hours (with the exception of the naps on the plane). Although not ideal, it certainly helped us with the time change since we were SO exhausted. Everyone warned us that we'd be waking up at 4AM our first morning, but that wasn't a problem. We actually had to set an alarm to make it to breakfast- and with that, we were on Hawaii time (6 hours different from Lexington!)
