D8- Snorkel

Day8: Sunday, May 20th

Sunday was the last official day with Liberty Mutual. There was an early breakfast with closing remarks and a highlight video (that, of course, Mary Grace made. She was dancing- it was cute!)

Attempt at a good family picture-
Sweet Harrison and Isabel were ALL about Miller on the trip. The two of them would ask to hold Miller pretty much every time we hung out. It was great having 2 extra entertainers.

After breakfast we headed to Kapalua Bay to go snorkeling. We really weren't sure what to expect from Mary Grace and if she would be able to figure out how to breathe. She shocked us and did amazingly well. It didn't take her long to catch on and she did a fantastic job just moving slow and not scaring the fish. When I asked her later how she knew what to do, she told me that she just pretended she was a mermaid.

Brent and Mary Grace snorkeled for over 2 hours. I tried for a few minutes to say I've done it, but snorkeling isn't really my thing!

Sweet Miss Vicki showed up to surprise Mary Grace (she asked us the night before if it was okay- Mary Grace had asked her to come watch her snorkel!) She insisted on holding Miller for me most of the time while she was there. My two kids absolutely adored her and we will definitely be keeping in touch! It was sad to say goodbye!

When we got back from snorkeling we went to lunch with Andy, Lindsay, Harrison and Isabel. They were catching a flight back to Lexington that night so it was great to spend some last minute time with them in Hawaii.

After lunch we swam for most of the afternoon. At some point Brent gave Miller a bottle (not sure why? My feeding/pumping schedule was SO out of sync during the first part of the trip since we had Miss Vicki with the kids so much) Miller started trying to hold the bottle on his own. He couldn't do it for long, but we did get a quick picture-

Sunday night we went back to Kapalua Bay to a restaurant right on the water with Joey, Stephanie, Mike, Vanessa, Skyler, and Haven.

Neither of our kids made it through dinner. Miller was asleep in my lap before the drinks were poured. And Mary Grace colored for a bit with Haven and then fell asleep right as her cheeseburger came out. She slept in Brent's lap all through dinner, dessert, and the ride home!
