Miller is 7 Months!
Miller at 7 Months:
- Dare Devil. He loves to be hung upside down, fly above our heads, be thrown up into the air, bounced, etc. The wilder, the better.
- Bobs up and down for fun. If you bob up and down, he will usually copy you.
- Loves the sound 'B.' It always calms him down or gets his attention if you look at him and say "buh, buh, buh" over and over again.
- Sleeps with his hands over his eyes and his legs in the air. It is oddly comfortable looking. Otherwise, he sleeps on his tummy with his hands up over his head.
- Can't keep poop in his diaper. I attribute this to the fact that he's so big, but has not an ounce of fat on his butt. The poop goes straight up the back of the diaper and out.
- SUCH a boy! The way he plays with toys is already so typically boy-like. He bangs them around, throws them, and tries so hard to break them apart. He studies them as if he's trying to figure out how it works. It is unbelievable to watch.
- However, he loves to cuddle his lovies. We have to limit his exposure to his 'Buddy' lovie because after cuddling it he always puts it directly over his face. I can't wait until I can give it to him in his carseat or crib again because he's so in love with it and it makes him so happy when he sees it!
- Sits all by himself.
- Takes cat naps. He doesn't like to miss anything so he chooses to sleep in short little spurts. If we are out in public or with people, he opens his eyes about once a minute to make sure he isn't missing anything.
- Wearing size 12 month pj's, but inconsistent with the rest of his clothes. Some of his shorts are still 3-6 months. Most other stuff is 9 month.
- Very close to crawling. In fact, I think he has come close. Several times he caught me watching him and flattened out against the ground like he was in an air raid. Mostly when he wants to get somewhere he scoots himself backwards or rolls.
- Loves: swimming, baths, watching the Olympics, hugs, Mary Grace, and his toys. Hates: the nursery at the gym, getting dressed and being hot.
- Still not eating solid foods. At first it was funny, but honestly I'm starting to worry. He gags, makes faces and is now projectile throwing the food up. Praying there isn't a bigger issue here!
- Social. He is great at make new friends when we are out shopping. It kind of makes me laugh because he always regards strangers with a serious look, but as soon as they talk to him he cracks the biggest smile.
- Miller is still the love of our lives and very well adjusted to our family (and we've finally adjusted to him too!)
